Welcome to adventures in lace! This is my first doily.. knitted on 0000 size dp needles using No. 60 blanc, I had to keep adding more as the diameter grew; there is no such thing as a 0000 circular needle!! It was fun to knit lace from the center outward and watch it grow and emerge as recognizable shapes. The museum pieces featured at Lacis in Berkeley were among my inspirations...

Begun sometime around New Years' - put down for a few months, finished in a week or so. From Anna Burda Dutch magazine October 1986.
