Antique spinning wheels from Cortona

This diminutive wheel was selling for, I think, 50 Euro in the tiny town of Cortona, Italy (October 2005). Looks like its needs a little work.

This one was in the window of a linen shop in the same town; the shop owner did not not know how old it was:
